Background & Highlights:
- For Thomson Reuters/Carswell, Don edits the popular HANDI-GUIDE series that supports the promotion of workplace health and safety in multiple Canadian jurisdictions.
- For Threads of Life (Association for Workplace Tragedy Family Support), Don authored three Alberta-based resource guides, including For Families: A Resource Guide for Survivors.
- For RONA, Don had a lot of fun (wordplay!) writing creative content for 10 in-store newsletters associated with a popular reality TV show called My Rona Home.
Don has also done contract work for a range of clients and publications, such as:

In addition to operating as goodwriter.ca, Don worked 5+ years (2009 to 2015) as the Communications and Marketing Coordinator at the Alberta Centre for Active Living.
Don’s writing and communications background also includes 10+ years with Hazard Alert Training (HATSCAN) Inc. (1998 to 2007) as Editor & Manager, Regulatory Affairs. For HATSCAN, among other works, Don edited the two-volume Guide to Environmental Compliance in Alberta and authored the Zero Injuries Handbook.
